Privacy policy for local image background removal
This policy explains what happens to your image and technical request data when you use TransparentBackground.org. The background remover is designed so source images and finished PNG files stay in your browser.
How your images are processed
Your browser decodes each selected image, runs the SAM-HQ model, stores the working mask and Keep or Remove points in memory, and creates the downloadable PNG. Source images, masks, guidance points, and finished PNG files are not intentionally transmitted to our application server.
The AI model and WebAssembly runtime download from this site so processing can run locally. These program files do not contain your photos. Your browser may cache them according to its normal cache settings.
Accounts, cookies, and local session data
The service does not provide user accounts, cloud projects, or saved image history. The editing queue exists in page memory and clears when you reload or close the page. Browser storage is not used to preserve selected photos or generated cutouts.
Hosting infrastructure may process standard request information such as an IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp, and response status for security and reliability. Those requests deliver the site and model files; they do not include the image selected inside the tool.
Analytics, external links, and future changes
The current application does not include advertising or behavioral analytics software. If data collection changes, this policy will be updated before the new processing begins.
External websites operate under their own privacy policies. TransparentBackground.org is not responsible for how a third-party destination collects or uses information.
